Crisis communication and non-violent communication training

We have completed and implemented the next milestone of the CECEP project, this time we trained in a very important area, whitch is crisis communication and non-violent communication. The training for members of the Łódź Diversity Coalition was conducted by Iza Nowaczyk from the 4 Kroki Foundation.

From the very beginning, we all clearly stated that we have various situations in our work life that are difficult for us in terms of communication.

The main goals of the workshop were:

  1. Support in developing a communication strategy for "difficult topics", such as counteracting hate speech and violence.
  2. Support in dealing with behaviors that the Autonomic Nervous System perceives as dangerous or life-threatening.
  3. The ability to navigate your nervous system to increase your nervous system's sense of flexibility, connection and connection.

For several hours we worked on the ability to listen carefully and have an empathetic approach to people with whom we are in conflict, but also with whom we contact on a daily basis. It was a very profound experience because we drew on and relied on specific examples from our work. We came out of this training with a lot of knowledge and awareness that we intend to use in our work in the future. We know how important it is to create dialogue and not erect barriers, which is why we want to effectively and efficiently engage in the idea of non-violent communication.

Iza Nowaczyk is a mediator and trainer in the idea of Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
