In the meantime, here's a report from a month and a half of our activities
Minority organizations and institutions took part in consultations on "how to deal with hate speech".
The most common requests for consultation included:
what content constitutes hate speech - how to identify/recognize it;
giving an opinion on whether specific hateful content sent to an organization is a crime;
how to react to content that constitutes a crime - to report or not to report?;
how to respond to massive attacks;
how to administer social media so that users feel safe and have space for discussion;
how to report content to the police and how to secure evidence
how to remove content;
how to respond to anti-Semitic content related to Israeli policy.
During consultations with organizations, the expert notes that support is necessary in the following areas:
social media audit;
physical and digital security of the organization;
support in building crisis communication;
support in developing procedures for the safety of the organization and employees;
support in distinguishing what is private and what is "activist content" on social media;
digital hygiene.
Together with expert Joanna Grabarczyk, we are preparing a set of recommendations for you on how to take care of your safety and counteract hate speech.
